ON their home course, Lymm Golf Club’s juniors came close to earning the chance to represent their county.
At the Cheshire Junior Club team championships, the Lymm Two team of Zach Smith, Imogen Marsland and Matthew Griffiths finished just a point shy of winners Crewe Golf Club.
The Crewe trio of Josie Cowap, Braden Jones and James Peake posted 76 points to win the trophy and earn the right to represent Cheshire at the national county finals in August.
Lymm’s Freya Jackson posted the best gross score of the day, with the top nett score being racked up by Sandiway’s Finley Waterhouse.
