DISAPPOINTMENT, frustration and anger were the prevailing emotions among Warrington Wolves fans following yesterday's Challenge Cup semi-final.
For the second year in a row, The Wire fell at the final hurdle on the road to Wembley as Castleford Tigers were able to book their spot in the final.
Here is some of what players and fans have been saying on social media after the game...
'Warrington Wolves - Warrington Guardian' on Facebook:
Mark Gee: Best team won fair and square
Pauline Jones: Best team won. Not good enough wire Same old wire
Terry Reid: We have always praised our defence but today we were absolute rubbish
Angie Gaunt: CAS rested five key players last week. We rested one... Daz Clarke... Our lads didn't go out there to lose, they were beaten by a better side on the night. Support your team when they are losing, not just when they are winning....
John Wilkinson: Congratulations to castleford they outplayed us in every department, be interesting to see how we lift over selves for the next game
John Knox: Outclassed. Time for major changes. Fans dont want Price and the thought of Powell isn't exciting
Twitter:
Is it over then? I couldn’t watch anymore. Credit to Cas, but that was lethargic from Wire. I can’t bare to watch us like that. I don’t know how Price can pick us up after that. I think it’s best for all if he moves home now. One CC win in 4 years is poor for powerhouse club.

So poor today. Defeat fully deserved. Can be no excuse for such a poor performance in a big game!

Absolute dross

Disgrace of a 1st half followed by mistakes after points and conceding 2 tries when Cas were down to 12.

Dreadful stuff from @WarringtonRLFC today.
Well done Cas
Not what we wanted today.

I apologise for my reaction to some individual fans but it hurts us just as much if not more.
