With Warrington Rylands' date with destiny at Wembley Stadium fast approaching, Garry Clarke takes a look at Saturday's FA Vase Final opposition...

WARRINGTON Rylands 1906's Wembley opponents will be Binfield of the Hellenic League – but who are they?

Based in Bracknell Forest near Reading in Berkshire, they were formed in 1892 by employees of a local brickworks.

Known as 'The Moles', Binfield played in a variety of local leagues before joining the Chiltonian League in 1989 and becoming founder members of the Hellenic League in 2000.

In each of the last two uncompleted seasons, Binfield have been in second place in the Premier Division when the campaigns came to a halt.

Binfield, who play in all red, were granted exemption to the second round of the FA Vase this season on the back of having reached the fourth round last term.

In this season's competition they have defeated Newhaven, Deal Town, Fakenham Town, Hadley, Long Eaton United and United Services Portsmouth, all away from home and four via penalty shoot-outs.

Liam Ferdinand, a striker of high repute in the area's non-league scene, scored eight minutes from time in Binfield's semi-final success against United Services.

'Ferdi' was a member of Thatcham Town's FA Vase Wembley winning side of 2017-18.
