Dean's performance was good enough for him to scoop the OurLeague Player of the Match award.
The 19-year-old has started two of York's three Championship games this season, with the win at Swinton their first of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Eribe Doro and Ellis Robson both featured in a heavy defeat for Widnes Vikings at Batley Bulldogs on Saturday.
Doro, who started in the front row, got himself over the whitewash for the Vikings as they led16-10 at the break before collapsing to a 48-16 loss.
He has started all three Championship games for Simon Finnigan's side, who followed up their opening day draw at Newcastle Thunder with a home defeat to Dewsbury Rams before the loss to Batley.
