FANS will once again have to wait to see Greg Inglis in action for Warrington Wolves.

Head coach Steve Price confirmed this afternoon that the legendary centre would not be making his debut against Hull FC on Sunday.

However, Price did say that Inglis would be in the team "way before" the Round Six clash with Huddersfield Giants on May 17 - the date fans are set to return to The Halliwell Jones Stadium - and that he was "between one and three weeks" away from action.

"GI won’t be in our 21. He’s training with the squad and doing really well but he won’t be playing this weekend," he said.

"There’s certainly not a problem with him. We’re very happy with his progression from where he’s come from.

"He’s doing more team-based stuff now and it’s about satisfying safety measures.

"He’s certainly not that far away – we have to hold him back at times as he wants to do more.

"At the moment, we’ve just got to think about the safety measures and make sure that when he does get out on the park, he stays there.

"I think we’ve got fans back on May 17 but he’ll be way before then.

"One, two or three weeks – that would be a rough ballpark."

Matty Ashton will have to satisfy concussion protocols before his involvement at the KCOM Stadium can be confirmed after taking a blow to the head during Sunday's Challenge Cup win over Swinton.

"Matty got a bit of a bang to the head late in the game, which was unfortunate," Price said.

"He will go through the normal concussion protocols as per our club policy.

"We will see with him at the back end of the week."

Gareth Widdop, Mike Cooper and Jack Hughes all missed the 32-8 win at Heywood Road and Price confirmed all three would come back into the team to face the Black and Whites.

It was also confirmed that the club would not be appealing Tom Lineham's three-match penalty notice issued for striking off the ball in the same game.

Price says that the winger "knows where he stands" regarding his latest ban, which will take him to 17 matches missed through suspension since joining the club.

"There’s no appeal from our end," the Wire boss said.

"Tom and I know where we stand with it. I think it’s best to leave it at that – I won’t add any more fuel to it.

"We accept it as a club and discussions between me and Tom will stay between us."
