GREENALLS PSO returned to the pitch in fine style as grassroots football got back underway on Saturday.
After restrictions around organised outdoor sport were relaxed last week, Cheshire Football League top-flight clubs will be competing in the JB Parker Premier Division Challenge Cup in the coming weeks.
Greens are in Group Three of the 16-team knockout tournament and got their campaign off to a flyer by winning 2-1 at Middlewich Town thanks to goals from Euan Woods and Tomo Lees.
However, Daten could not match their success as they lost at Crewe FC by the same scoreline, with Callum Nicholas scoring for the Atoms.
In League Two, Rylands Reserves returned with a 3-0 home win over Hartford as Oliver Atherton, Jack Smith and Corey Hackett got on the scoresheet.
Daten Reserves were 1-0 victors over their Styal counterparts thanks to a winner from Jack Hodgkiss while in Reserves League Two, there was a 4-2 victory for Moore United over their Greenalls PSO counterparts.
Daten Development lost by the same scoreline against Crewe FC reserves.
