AFTER a break of 102 days, Warrington Rylands got back on the football pitch last night.

Blues beat National League North side Chorley FC 3-2 in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Gorsey Lane last night, with Connor Ready scoring twice for the hosts.

Freddie Potter had opened the scoring inside the opening minute for Dave McNabb's side, whose return to competitive action is just over a fortnight away.

They travel to County Durham to face Shildon in the FA Vase fourth round on April 17 but will have at least two more friendlies to prepare for that match.

They travel to Wythenshawe Town tomorrow before welcoming Ashton United to Gorsey Lane on April 10. Both fixtures are being played behind closed doors.
