JOSH Charnley is on course to be fit for the start of Warrington Wolves’ Super League season.
The winger underwent minor surgery to correct a shoulder injury during the off-season which has delayed his return to full pre-season training.
However, head coach Steve Price says the flyer’s recovery is going well and he expects him to be fit to face Castleford Tigers on March 28.
The only other injury concern reported by Price in his latest update was young second rower Ellis Longstaff, who has a knee problem.
“Josh is the ultimate professional and he’s doing really well,” he said.
“He’s doing everything he needs to do and he’s on track to make the start of the season.
“Ellis Longstaff has got a bit of a bang on his knee but other than that, we’re healthy.
“I’m really liking how the boys have been able to hold their intensity levels up for really long periods.
“They have worked extremely hard but its also been enjoyable.
“With our standards in terms of what we’ve set out for the players and the coaching staff, we feel we’re heading in the right direction.”
