WARRINGTON Wolves are not interested in bringing rugby union star Danny Cipriani to the club.
The England international fly-half has been linked with a move to the 13-man code having left Premiership side Gloucester this week.
The Wire were one of the clubs talked about as a potential destination for the 33-year-old as a replacement for Gareth Widdop, who is continually linked with a move back to Australia.
However, the Guardian understands the club do not intend to make a move for Cipriani.
Warrington's most recent experience in recruiting from rugby union ended in disappointment, with Luther Burrell making just nine appearances after joining from Northampton Saints – he has recently returned to the 15-man game with Newcastle Falcons.
Cipriani has 16 England caps and, as well as Gloucester, has represented Wasps, Sale Sharks and Melbourne Rebels at club level.
