ANTHONY Gelling says he has cut his ties with Warrington Wolves for family reasons, but that it has broken his heart to do so.
The Cook Islands international centre's exit, a year into his two-season deal, was announced earlier this week.
In a goodbye message, headed Farewell Friends, Gelling Tweeted: "It was too good to be true.
"It breaks my heart to cut our deal short but another full season away from my girls is more than I can bear.

"I loved my time at Warrington and I wish it was a 30 minute drive instead of a 30 hour flight away.
"Thank you to everyone who made me welcome, I really feel we grew together this year.
"I wish you all the best for 2021. Till we meet again, long live the Wire, Gels x"
