CHRIS Hill says The Wire will be keeping a close eye on a player he has shared some good times with in international camps.
Stand-off, full-back or centre Jake Connor is a leading threat in the Hull FC ranks and described by Hill as a 'nightmare' to play against.
“I think sometimes we have a bit of a running ding-dong," said Hill, ahead of tonight's Super League play-offs meeting between the sides at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, kick-off 7.45pm
"That’s just the way he plays, he gets under people’s skin.
"It’s just the kind of player he is and you have to accept him for that, but he’s quality whether he plays at half or at full-back – you can see the quality he brings.
"We’ve just got to be on our A game, we’ve prepared the best we can. We’ll try and shut him down the best we can.
“He’s a really quite bloke. People think he’s this gobby lad, but he’s not, he just changes as soon as he gets on the field. He’s very competitive, as we all are.
"He can pull anything out of the hat and he’s a nightmare to play against as well.”
