KALLUM Watkins is free to face Warrington Wolves on Friday despite being hit with a dangerous contact charge.

The Salford Red Devils centre has been charged by the RFL’s Match Review Panel for a 28th-minute tackle on Oliver Gildart during his side’s 58-12 loss to Wigan Warriors on Friday.

However, the penalty notice is rated at Grade A and does not carry a ban, meaning the former Latchford Albion junior will be available to Ian Watson when they face The Wire at The Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday.

One man who will be on the sidelines for a spell is St Helens prop Alex Walmsley, who has been handed a two-match suspension.

The England international has been charged with Grade C dangerous contact following his side’s win over Leeds Rhinos on Friday.

The ban starts from midnight tonight so Walmsley is free to face Salford Red Devils tonight but will miss clashes with Wigan Warriors and Catalans Dragons.
