A WARRINGTON-born footballer scored his first league goal in over three years to seal a point for Stoke City.
Tommy Smith, 28, struck in the second half as 10-man Stoke drew 2-2 with Barnsley in the Sky Bet Championship last night, Wednesday.

Smith had been in the youth systems at Tranmere Rovers and Manchester City before joining Huddersfield, whom he skippered to victory over Reading in the 2017 EFL Championship play-off final at Wembley.
He's been with Stoke since July, 2019, and has made the right-back position his own.
Smith wasn't the only player in the Stoke side with Warrington connections.
Former Great Sankey High School student Adam Davies, 28, made some crucial saves late on against his former club and fellow Welsh international James Chester, 31, a centre-half who studied at Birchwood Community High School, lined up in the back three.
