THESE pictures tell a thousand words.

The Wire players knew they should have won at Wigan on Friday, having had more than enough dominance in the game to have scored enough points.

But it turned into a right let down, for the players, the coaches, the fans watching at home.

We've been here before - Warrington not living up to their capabilities, but then delivering something special in response.

Looking back at 2018 in Steve Price's first season, The Wire were very disappointing in defeat at home to St Helens in the Super 8s.

Then two weeks later the team produced a stunning display in the semi-finals to knock out Saints on their own turf and book a place in the Grand Final.

Circumstances are not exactly the same, they can't be because there is no precedent to rugby league under the influence of Covid-19.

But the point being made is that a Wire team under Price has been able to shake off a rocky period or a disappointing display to fire back in fine style.

All is not lost because Warrington fell out of the top four on Friday night.

They just need to do what they've done before, suck up the pain and rise...and not feel again how they did in these pictures after the final hooter sounded at the DW Stadium on Friday.
