UNHAPPY Wire fans have been venting their anger and disappointment at Warrington Wolves losing against Wigan Warriors after being the dominant team for large parts of it.
The Wire were beaten 18-14 behind closed doors at Headingley in a game they led 12-0 in the first half.
They have fallen out of the play-off positions for the time being as a result, slipping from second to fifth.
Here’s a selection of what’s being said on Twitter, along with the game highlights:
We can’t seem to score a try in the opponents 20m, it has been like this since the resumption, look at all our tries, they’re either Austin magic, kick to corner, barge over or long range, when was the last time our winger scored a dive in the Corner after a shift to the wing

a game of never-relenting pressure. From both teams. Well done @WiganWarriorsRL and @WarringtonRLFC this game was a credit to Rugby League https://t.co/nPkjh745qF

We keep coming very close to scoring lots of tries... But not pulling it off.

Mamo was a bad miss there, with Lino already out the picture.
Ridiculous better team most of the game lose in the last 5 minutes for the 3rd game running

Looking at the current table and it doesn’t half feel like Warrington are being punished for fulfilling that fixture when they had 10 players isolating, they’d be top 4 if they’d have pulled out of that...

On the Warringtonguardian.co.uk website:
realistic southstander: Absolutely clueless when we get to the opposition 20. Forwards work so hard but a lack of creativity is still holding us back. If Wigan had had our pressure in the 20 they would have won comfortably. I don't get the substitute selection of Price against the big teams, why select players that you don't use, I'm sure that in these intense matches with very little rest time between games you should be rotating and not waste a fresh pair of legs.
And here’s what’s being said on the Guardian’s Facebook pages:
Andy Bibby: Poor bench options, having a forward on the bench and not use him. We were out muscled and faded away for the 3 week for the same reasons, the later 2 being significant. Too light in the pack.
Austin was poor again for the second week, but utterly tonight.
Chris Rustage: Too predictable, good D in parts but toothless in attack. How a team of Ratchford, Austin, Widdop, Clark can be so clueless in attack is astounding.
John Knox: We cant afford to lose anymore matches if we want a top 4 Finnish.
Mark Turner: Bottled it again
