WARRINGTON Rylands' FA Cup game at Whitby Town tomorrow will be played behind closed doors.

Blues make the trip to the Turnbull Ground on the Yorkshire Coast tomorrow for their first ever appearance in the first qualifying round.

However, Whitby have announced the game will now be closed to spectators at the request of their local authority due to tightened coronavirus restrictions in the area.

Tomorrow, new Covid-19 restrictions will come into force in Warrington after a surge in cases.

They include new guidance advising against attending amateur or semi-professional sporting fixtures.

However, as it stands, Warrington Town's FA Cup fixture against South Shields at Cantilever Park remains open to spectators.
