WARRINGTON Wolves' are into the Challenge Cup semi finals after a thrilling victory over St Helens.

A purple patch of three tries in 10 minutes prior to half time proved decisive as Anthnoy Gelling, Josh Charnley and Matty Ashton crossed.

Saints' narrowed the gap to two points to set up a grandstand finish, but The Wire managed the rest of the game superbly.

Wolves had fallen 8-0 down thanks to Jonny Lomax's early try and a Lachlan Coote penalty.

Charnley scored a second try after the break, with Regan Grace and Kevin Naiqama crossing for Saints.
