THERE has been a further positive Covid-19 test returned by a Super League player.

A player who featured for Wigan Warriors in their defeat to Hull KR on Thursday has returned a positive test but after track and trace analysis of the game, no close contacts on either side have been identified.

Both teams will undergo further testing but at this stage, both sides plan to fulfill their fixtures this week – Hull KR against St Helens at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday, and Wigan against Catalans Dragons at Stade Gilbert Brutus in Perpignan on Saturday.

In better news, Catalans Dragons and Wakefield Trinity have both returned a full set of negative Covid tests and will return to training to prepare for their Round 12 fixtures against Wigan and Hull FC respectively.
