FORMER Warrington Town star Ben Garrity had a professional debut to remember yesterday.
The central midfielder got his chance in the Football League after a stellar 18 months with Town in January when he was snapped up by League One side Blackpool.
The coronavirus pandemic put paid to his chances of a debut for the Tangerines, however, and Garrity joined League Two outfit Oldham Athletic on a season-long loan ahead of the 2020-21 season.
In his first competitive outing as a professional footballer - a Carabao Cup tie against Carlisle United at Boundary Park - Garrity opened the scoring with the kind of header that became his trademark during his time at Cantilever Park.
