THIS was the moment two Wire legends from different eras shared the same pitch.

Warrington wing wizard Brian Bevan, the world record try scorer, was among the special guests to greet the Great Britain players before the kick-off to a 1980s Test match at Headingley, where Wolves will be facing Hull FC in Super League Round 11 tomorrow, Friday.

And among the GB stars the great Bev got to shake hands with on that day was Warrington's captain marvel, Mike Gregory.

Both enjoyed long and illustrious careers in primrose and blue, with Gregory going on to become Wire's then most capped Great Britain international.
