FORMER Warrington Wolves man Gareth O’Brien has found himself a new Super League club.

The versatile back was facing sitting out the remainder of the season after his club Toronto Wolfpack sensationally pulled out of the 2020 Super League campaign just prior to the restart.

However, the 28-year-old has now joined Castleford Tigers on a loan deal for the rest of 2020.

“I’m very grateful for the opportunity, with Toronto pulling out of the league it gives me a chance to get back playing rugby and enjoying what I do. I’m excited to get started,” said O’Brien, who made 62 Wire appearances after coming through the club’s academy.

“I hope to bring a big work ethic, I’ve got a good set of running legs in me and looking to slot in nicely into the team.

“I can’t wait to work with Daryl (Powell, Tigers head coach), I had a quick chat with him this morning and he has been very welcoming and I’m excited to work with him over the course of the next few months and I cannot wait to get going.”
