NETBALLERS at a Warrington club are feeling inspired by time spent with England player Jade Clarke.

Appleton Netball Club players from school years seven to nine took part in a workshop as well as meet and greet session with the World Cup bronze and Commonwealth Games gold medalist.

Coaches said the players hung on to every word she delivered.

"It was really good meeting Jade because she's my favourite England netball player so I was really excited to meet her," said Maggie Creswell, aged seven.

"She told us how to get into the England team!

"She said you have to try your best and train hard and even if you don't get through trials the first time, you have to keep on going.

"If Jade still plays for England when I'm older, I want to get on the team so I can play with her too!"
