ADAM Fletcher admits his Lymm side “got what they deserved” in defeat at Morpeth on Saturday.

Lymm led 5-0 at the break thanks to Nathan Beesley’s try but added just a Cormac Nolan penalty to their score after the break.

Morpeth took advantage to record a 19-8 win to make it three straight defeats for the Beechwood side.

They will attempt to snap that run when Ilkley visit Beechwood on Saturday, kick off 3pm, and director of rugby Fletcher is keen for his side to show improvement.

“Ultimately we got what we deserved,” he said.

“It was a really disappointing performance, especially after how well we had performed in our last couple of games.

“It’s a long way to travel but I thought we actually started really well.

“Unfortunately we couldn’t convert pressure into points. In the second half we were really poor in attack and defence.

“Onwards to next week with the focus on getting a win at home to Ilkley.

“The boys are hurting and all agreed that their performance wasn’t good enough.”
