CULCHETH Walking Football Group will once again be hosting teams from across the region next month.
The club hosts its annual Culcheth Cup on Saturday, March 21, at Culcheth High School – an event aimed at fundraising as well as healthy competition.
Sixteen teams from all over the north west will compete in the competition to raise money for this year’s chosen charity, The Christie Charitable Fund.
Last year’s tournament raised more than £3,300 for Prostate Cancer UK and the aim is to surpass that total this year.
Spectators are welcome to come and watch the action while there will be a free buffet at the Culcheth Arms for players and those watching.
Culcheth Walking Football Group encourages participation in sport, so anyone over 50 who is not in one of the 15 teams already registered and wishes to play on the day can join the 16th team by contacting us on yannis0131@yahoo.com or 07774 922277
