WARRINGTON’S Daniel Bonner has a new belt to add to his growing collection.

By stopping opponent Liam McKendry on Saturday, Muay Thai boxer Bonner claimed the World Ring Sports Association (WRSA) European title in emphatic style.

Bonner, who co-owns the Supremacy Fight Academy in Bewsey, knocked his Scottish rival down twice in the first round and a third knockdown in the second round forced the referee to stop the contest.

The victory took his record to 17 wins and two defeats and improved his ranking on both the national and international stage.

Bonner is now ranked fifth in the UK and is seventh on the WBC world list ahead of his next fight on the YOKKOA show at the University of Bolton Stadium on Saturday, March 7.
