WARRINGTON Basketball Club is invited children to come and give the sport a try.

Kids aged between eight and 17 are encouraged to take part in a Come & Try session, with new and current players welcome to get a taster of the sport or further hone their skills.

The session takes place at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub on Thursday, February 20, and starts at 5pm.

The club believe in the development of players and seeing the game of basketball being played the right way, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, individual skill, and sportsmanship.

Boys and girls are welcome as the club aim to get new players active and increase the standard of basketball within the town.

Warrington Basketball Club rewards players for the effort that they put in and the respect they show, not for how many points they score.

The success of the club will be determined by the effort and commitment of players and their willingness to learn and not by the amount of raw talent a player possesses.
