A WARRINGTON student has been recognised among the most talented footballers of his age in the country.
Kenyatta Bernal, who attends Priestley College having gone to school in Spain last year, made his debut for England Schoolboys’ under 18s squad in a 4-1 victory over the RAF’s under 23s.
The 16-year-old, who has trained with Spanish giants Atletico Madrid in the past, impressed sufficiently in the match at Oxford City to be named in England’s squad for a clash with their Australian Schoolboys counterparts on Saturday.
Bernal and his teammates will face their rivals from Down Under at Stafford Town FC, with kick off at 2.30pm.
He is aiming for a place in the squad for the Centenary Shield against schoolboy teams from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, with the tournament starting in March.
