THE fixtures for Warrington Wolves Women's 2020 season have been confirmed.
As expected, the Wire Women's opening Betfred Women's Super League match will be against 2018 champions Wigan Warriors at Victoria Park on Sunday, March 29.
The Latchford venue will be the main base for Lee Westwood's side during their first ever top-flight season, although they will play at The Halliwell Jones Stadium when they face Wakefield Trinity on Saturday, May 30, as a curtain-raiser for the men's team's Super League fixture against Hull FC.
The newly-expanded 10-team league – featuring Wolves and Huddersfield Giants as newly-promoted teams – will see each team play each other once before the league splits.
The top four will face each other home and away in a further six games, with the top two finishers going straight through to the Grand Final at Headingley on Sunday, October 11, which will be part of a double header of fixtures.
The other half of that will be the Women's Super League Shield final, which will be determined following a competition between the remaining six teams.
Each team will play each other once more, leading to semi finals and the Shield final.
