WITH the first team out of action, Lymm’s seconds got the chance to take centre stage.

Thanks to their dominant 61-19 win over their Fylde counterparts, it was an opportunity they took full advantage of.

The Beechwood outfit ran in nine tries on the Lancashire coast, with three of them scored by centre Josh Hadland.

Josh Davies got the ball rolling with a penalty before tries from James Pitcher and James Sherlock, one of which was converted by Davies, put the visitors in command.

Fylde hit back with two tries of their own either side of another Davies penalty and after 25 minutes, it was all to play for with Lymm six points ahead.

However, Hadland crossed twice before the break to put his side into a decisive 20-point lead at the break.

Lymm had to weather a storm immediately after the break as Fylde sought a route back into the game.

Once Richie McEvoy grabbed his side’s fifth try, however, they cut loose.

Hadland completed his hat-trick and Sherlock doubled his tally, with Alex Hickman and Dan Horton also scoring tries.
