WARRINGTON Hockey Club teams scored goals galore at the weekend.
Despite going down early in the game after pressure from a young Oxton side, Warrington’s men won 6-1 with a hat-trick from Dominic Bain, two short corner drag flicks from Richard Cook and a deflected effort from Michael Holmes.
The seconds defeated Northrop Hall 4-0, after a fine team display. Rob Powell scored a hat-trick and Mark Taylor added another.
Rhyl and District were defeated 5-0 by the women’s team, with player-of-the-game Molly Rudd scoring two after a energetic midfield performance. Vicky Stoll, Steph Rawlins and Ffion Harris also scored.
The seconds continue to develop as a new team and lost 4-0.
Abi Hynes and Rebecca Wells made some great attacks into the D and were unfortunate not to convert.
