Shane Duffy has been rested by the Republic of Ireland.
The Albion centre-back will not face New Zealand in a friendly in Dublin tomorrow.
That means he misses a clash with Burnley and former Albion battering ram Chris Wood.
Irish boss Mick McCarthy is keeping key men wrapped in cotton wool ahead of Monday’s decisive Euro 2020 qualifier against Denmark.
Albion will be desperate to see Duffy avoid injury give they are already without Lewis Dunk and Adam Webster for the home game against Leicester a week on Saturday.
Webster faces several weeks out with an ankle injury.
