WARRINGTON Wolves pair Joe Philbin and Daryl Clark look set to get their chance in a Great Britain shirt on Saturday.
They have both been named on the bench in Wayne Bennett's initial 21-man squad for the first Test match against New Zealand in Auckland.
Philbin looks set to profit from the rib injury suffered by St Helens prop Luke Thompson in the defeat to a Tongan Invitational XIII on Saturday, with Tom Burgess stepping up from the bench to start in his place.
Clark is likely to fill the interchange spot left by Jonny Lomax, who starts at full back in place of Saints teammate Lachlan Coote.
Gareth Widdop and Chris Hill retain their places at stand-off and prop respectively while Blake Austin and Jack Hughes are named among the reserves.
Bennett will trim his squad from 21 to 19 on Friday.
Great Britain squad to face New Zealand on Saturday:
