FOR the second week in a row, Warrington RUFC found themselves on the wrong end of a 50-point hammering.
A return to Walton Lea did not provide a change in fortunes as Burnage ran out 52-12 victors in Warrington’s first home game of the new season.
Coach Sean Callendar cited “an unsettled backs division” as the main reason behind another heavy loss.
He pinpointed tackling as an area that requires improvement in the coming weeks, starting a trip to Northwich on Saturday.
“We made a few mistakes – which is only to be expected from an unsettled back division – and these were fully exploited by the opposition,” he said.
“The second half was better but our tackling needs to improve.”
Max Caldwell and Jack Norman crossed after the break for Warrington – with Darren Norman adding a conversion – but Burnage had already secured a bonus point.
