TWO Warrington Wolves players have been left out of a selection of Great Britain and England Knights squad members that will assemble for training this week.

There is no place for Stefan Ratchford or Josh Charnley in the 28-man group of players that will partake in sessions at the Manchester Institute of Health and Performance tomorrow, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Both were named in Wayne Bennett's 29-man GB Performance squad but their absence from this group indicates they may be unlikely to play any representative football this autumn.

Eight Wire players in all will be part of the meet-up as preparations continue for the Great Britain tour of New Zealand and Papua New Guinea as well as the World Cup Nines tournament and England Knights’ fixture against Jamaica on October 20.

The Warrington players included are Blake Austin, Daryl Clark, Chris Hill, Jack Hughes, Toby King, Tom Lineham, Joe Philbin and Danny Walker.

No players from teams still competing for the Super League title or from the NRL have been named.

The final 24-man Great Britain squad will be named on Monday, October 14 while England’s World Cup Nines squad will be revealed on Sunday, October 6.
