RYLANDS Sharks have secured a new home for their junior section.
The club will now play and train at Bennetts Recreation Ground in Padgate after reaching an agreement with Poulton-with-Fearnhead Parish Council.
Teams in age groups from Cubs up to under 16s will have access to three dedicated pitches for matches as well as training sessions over the summer months, plus full changing facilities.
A statement on the club’s Facebook page read: “The club committee would like to once again place on record their thanks to both the Parish Council and the Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation for their help and support in what has been a difficult time for the club.
“Securing such a first-class facility will not only underpin the future for those sides already at Rylands, but allow the club to grow in a long term and sustainable manner.
“As part of the move the club are looking for a post-match venue for food and refreshments.
“The committee are already in discussion with a number of potential providers and would love to hear form anyone else in the local community who feel they may be able to accommodate us moving forward.
“Furthermore, as part of the ethos of providing a first-class package for our players, coaches and parents, the committee would be keen to hear form anyone passionate about the rugby league community, who, via sponsorship, feel they would be able to help us achieve that goal.”
