AFTER the disappointment of missing out on promotion, Crosfields still have the chance to end their season on a high.

They will take on neighbours Woolston Rovers in the Stuart Middleton Foundation Warrington Cup Final on a date to be confirmed.

Saturday’s National Conference League Division Two play-off final proved a step too far for Soap, who conceded a try after just 16 seconds at Hull Dockers and never really recovered.

The East Yorkshire side eventually won 44-16 to secure the final place in Division One for next season.

Dan Reid, Nathan Taylor and Matthew Barber scored Crosfields’ tries, with Brad Stanway kicking two goals.

"We knew we had to be on top of our game and got off to the worst possible start,” head coach Ian Boden said.

“We didn't show composure and then errors, penalties and wrong options crept in.

“Dockers were very good, best of luck to them in Division One next year.

“We are hurting after that performance, but we dust ourselves down and prepare for the Warrington final."
