WARRINGTON RUFC remain “a work in progress” according to head coach Andy Fletcher after defeat at Vale of Lune on Saturday.
Jack Morgan and Sean Callendar scored their tries in a 28-18 loss, with Darren Norman kicking a conversion and two penalties.
It means the Walton Lea side have lost their opening two league fixtures but as with the opening-day loss at Douglas, Roberts saw plenty to encourage him.
“Obviously, we are still a work in progress but once again we showed great spirit, in both defence and attack,” Roberts said.
“I am confident that we can improve with every game to once again become a force in this very difficult league.”
Warrington are on the road again on Saturday – they travel to Birkenhead Park, kick off 3pm.
