ANDY Roberts is full of confidence for the season ahead with Warrington RUFC.
That is despite returning from the Isle of Man empty-handed following a 20-8 opening-day defeat at Douglas.
Even in defeat, the Warrington head coach was full of praise for the spirit his much-changed side showed as they prepare for a trip to Vale of Lune on Saturday.
“You can coach many things but you can’t instil team spirit,” he said.
“That comes from the players themselves.
“This game demonstrated the excellent team spirit we have and that fills me with confidence for the rest of the season.”
Substitute Alex Stewart scored Warrington’s only try as he broke through from 50 metres to cross the whitewash after Darren Norman had earlier kicked a penalty.
They had been close to returning with a losing bonus point until Douglas scored with the game’s final play.
