LATCHFORD Albion put in “the performance they have been threatening all season” to ruthlessly dispatch Oldham St Annes A on Saturday.
A 60-20 victory at Victoria Park kept up their chances of a play-off place and delighted head coach Martyn Ellis.
“This is the sort of performance we have been threatening all season,” he said.
“Our young side have been continually building and improving and we saw today what can happen when we all work together.
“We have given ourselves a chance to be in the mix at the end if the season, and we need this performance to be the level we expect to achieve.”
Chris Griffiths scored a hat-trick of tries, with Charlie McCurrie and debutant Matty Rudd both crossing twice.
Jamie Birchall, Roma Zheng, Fraser Jones-Lake and Phil Woollacott also contributed tries for Latchford, who host Blackbrook on Saturday, kick off 2.30pm.
