WARRINGTON Wolves' clash with St Helens will long live in the memories of Riley Dean and Josh Thewlis.
The teenagers made history for the club as Dean made his Super League debut and Thewlis scored his first try on his second appearance in the top flight.
Here's the storyboard of Thewlis' game:
Thewlis, usually a full-back, replaced Tom Lineham on the left wing with the job of marking England's Golden Boot owner Tommy Makinson.
Dean stepped into the shoes of Wire's marquee stand-off Blake Austin.
“Two 17-year-olds playing together in the team, that's the first time in the club’s history which is quite special," said head coach Steve Price.
“They’ve got a big future but there’s still a lot of hard work for them.
“I thought Josh was really strong. He didn’t look out of place, and there’s a bright future for Riley Dean too.
“They can hold their heads high.”
For Dean it was an early birthday present too, as he turns 18 today.
