JAMIE Abram crossed for four tries as Warrington Wolves under 19s moved up to fourth place in the Academy Championship courtesy of a 40-12 success at Newcastle Thunder.
The hooker notched three in a row in the first half before touching down again late in the game.
Abram’s kick from an initial break by Lewis Hall fell perfectly for Callum Green’s fifth-minute opener.
He then got on the end of a Riley Dean pass, capitalised on Hall’s twist out of a tackle at the line, and completed his hat-trick by rounding four Thunder defenders on a 25m weaving run.
His fourth try, the game's penultimate, was the result of a scoot from dummy-half after Ellis Longstaff had been held up short.
Dean Beddall and David Gibbons also got over the line, while leading orchestrator Riley Dean converted six of his seven attempts at goal.
