Crosfields 50 East Leeds 6

ASSISTANT coach Phil Brazendale hailed a clinical display from Crosfields as they moved to within a point of the National Conference League Division Two play-off spots.

Luke Walker crossed a hat-trick of tries as Soap ran riot at Hood Lane, scoring 10 tries overall.

John Whittaker, Daniel Brien, Nathan Taylor, Brad Stanway, Mitchell McJay, Jordan Williams and Tom Millington also crossed as Ian Boden’s side moved a point behind sixth-placed Barrow Island with a game in hand.

“East Leeds were cutting it fine with little preparation time and this was evident when they started the game slowly and conceded early on,” Brazendale said.

“This set the theme for the rest of the game. We scored 10 tries and it’s fair to say we dominated for the majority of the 80 minutes.

“To their credit, East Leeds didn't ease off and tested us whenever they had possession, but we were clinical with ball in hand.”
