STEVE Price wants Sitaleki Akauola to improve his discipline while retaining his aggression.
The Wire prop has fallen foul of the RFL's Match Review Panel on a number of occasions since arriving in Super League last year and has been suspended numerous times.
His latest ban – a two-match penalty notice for a dangerous throw against Salford – will see him miss today's trip to Castleford Tigers and Saturday's Challenge Cup semi-final against Hull FC.
Suspension also ruled Akauola out of last year's Challenge Cup Final and Price says his task now is to force his way back into the team.
"It’s disappointing for Sita because I thought he was starting to run into a bit of form," he said.
"He’s going to have to serve his time and then force his way back into the team.
"He’s got to improve his discipline and that’s been addressed among the coaches.
"He’s been pulled up but the Match Review Panel a few more times than I would like.
"He’s got to keep working on his style but in terms of his aggression, that won’t change.
"We want him running and tackling hard but there’s a fine line and he has to be more careful."
