London Broncos u19 18 Warrington Wolves u19 48

AFTER bouncing back to winning ways, Paul Anderson hailed a “very pleasing” response from his Warrington Wolves under 19s side.

They swept London Broncos aside at Ealing Trailfinders in the curtain-raiser to the Super League clash between the two sides as they rebounded from last week’s humiliating 82-16 defeat to St Helens.

Tayler Brown and Josh Thewlis both crossed twice while Riley Dean booted eight goals from as many attempts.

George Roby, Joe Barnes and Jamie Abram also crossed after Ellis Longstaff had set The Wire on their way in the very first minute.

Anderson believes the game was their best show of intent this season but he admits his side must improve further for their next game, which sees Leeds Rhinos visit Victoria Park on Saturday, kick off 12noon.

“After a difficult week, it’s very pleasing to see a response like that,” he said.

“I thought our intent from the beginning to the end was probably the best we’ve had this year.

“This enabled us to put a very good London Broncos team under some serious pressure.

“The attitude we showed to doing our roles is something that was pretty good but still needs to improve for the challenges that lie ahead.”
