DYLAN Vassallo will remain a Warrington Town player next season after signing a deal to remain with the club.

The attacking midfielder, 21, was one of manager Paul Carden’s first signings when he joined the club in 2016 and will enter his third full season at Cantilever Park.

Vassallo scored seven times for Yellows last season, including the equaliser in the Evo-Stik Premier Division play-off final victory at South Shields.

It has also been confirmed that defenders Jay McCarten and Mitch Duggan, midfielder Russell Benjamin and forwards Dom Reid and Connor McCarthy will all remain part of Carden’s squad for next season.

This means only Ben Garrity and Alex Whittle from last season’s group are yet to commit to staying, with talks ongoing with both players.

Defender Adam Hughes, midfielder Robbie Evans and forward Marcus Cusani have all decided to leave the club.
