THE Wire produced an impressive all-round display to see off Catalans Dragons at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

With 17-year-old full-back Josh Thewlis in their ranks, Steve Price's side ensured he did not need to do too much defending.

Superb individual tries from Blake Austin and Daryl Clark gave them the half-time advantage before Bryson Goodwin, Sitaleki Akauola and Josh Charnley crossed in the second period.

Fouad Yaha had given the Dragons the lead but it proved immaterial as The Wire extended their lead over them to six points in the Super League table.
