JOSH Thewlis has moved a step closer to making his senior Warrington Wolves debut.

The 17-year-old full-back has been named in Steve Price's 19-man squad for Saturday's game against Catalans Dragons.

Waterhead Warriors junior Thewlis has been handed squad number 31.

Jack Johnson is also included as The Wire look set to field a reshuffled back line at The Halliwell Jones Stadium after being hit with a number of absences.

Tom Lineham and Jake Mamo are forced to sit this game out through suspension, with the former not available again until the visit of St Helens on June 28.

Mamo will only miss Saturday's game after being handed a one-match penalty notice for Grade B dangerous contact.

Ryan Atkins (hamstring) and long-term absentees Stefan Ratchford (pectoral) and Kevin Brown (Achilles) remain sidelined.

Rugby union convert Luther Burrell began training with his new teammates yesterday but will not be available for selection until July 1.
