WARRINGTON Town have been dealt a blow as midfielder Robbie Evans has decided to leave the club.

The Welshman had been offered a new deal to remain at Cantilever Park but announced on Twitter that his time at the club had come to an end.

He is believed to be on the verge of signing for National League North outfit Curzon Ashton.

Warrington Guardian:

Evans was a key part of the Town side that fell agonisingly short of promotion to the National League North in the season just past.

He joins Marcus Cusani in leaving Yellows while six players from last season have already committed to staying put.

Mark Roberts, Dave Raven, Tony Gray, Jack Dunn, Tony McMillan and Josh Amis are staying put, with Alex Byrne joining from Gainsborough Trinity as Town’s first new signing.
