STEVE Price expects Bryson Goodwin to be fit for his side’s trip to Castleford Tigers on Friday.

The centre hurt his ankle in the early stages of today’s 50-19 win over Huddersfield Giants but played on and scored two tries in the second half.

He continued to look troubled by the injury and was eventually replaced late on just after scoring his second try.

However, Price was optimistic the injury was nothing serious.

“Bryson’s not too bad,” he said.

“He’s a tough player and understands what it takes to get his ankle right to get back next week.

“He’s a pro and he’ll look after that.”

Price also revealed winger Tom Lineham played through the pain barrier after picking up a knee injury in the first half.

He says that is another injury they will keep an eye on and also gave the reason for Jason Clark’s omission from his 19-man squad.

“Tom just got a bit of a knock to his knee when he was trying to get out of his in-goal,” he said.

“It’s another special effort from him to play with that for 65 minutes. We’ll assess that during the week.

“Jason was more about rest. Clarky’s been doing a really good job for us.

“He plays the game hard but I thought it was right to give him a rest this week. He’ll come back in next week.”
