MARK Noble said he pushed things too far.

The Warrington racing driver qualified fourth in the Hyperdrive ST-XR Challenge during the BRSCC Fun Cup race day at Oulton Park on Saturday.

He was challenging for third in the race when he spun off the track, sending him down to ninth place.

Noble's time for the nine-lap race in which he finished ninth was 16mins 37.668secs, an average speed of 72.29mph having been achieved.

His best lap time was 1min 47.764secs.

" I was trying too hard to gain third place when I spun off at Cascades and that knocked me right down the field," said Noble, who is also a marshal at the circuit and had plenty of support on the sidelines from fellow marshals who were on duty.
